Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad are ready to pay £150million to sign Liverpool star Mohamed Salah in a move which could lead to an awkward reunion
Mohamed Salah has been heavily linked with a big-money move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Ittihad and he is not the only big name superstar they are interested in.
Al-Ittihad have already signed the likes of Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante and Fabinho this summer and the spending is set to continue. And with the Saudi transfer window open for a week longer than the Premier League’s, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is facing a nervous wait over the future of his star man.
When asked about the rumours ahead of Liverpool’s game against Aston Villa this weekend, Klopp said: “The position remains the same. Absolutely no doubt about that. That’s how it is. Nothing else to say. No offer as far as I know but that doesn’t mean a lot to be honest.”
The Telegraph state that Al-Ittihad are prepared to fork out £150m to sign Salah, but Liverpool have so far rebuffed their approaches. However, the report adds that Al-Ittihad may yet ‘intensify their attempts to tempt Salah’ to Saudi Arabia.
