When it aired at 9pm, Monty , 68, was notably absent from the lineup after he was previously flooded with support. The Official Gardener's World magazine page shared an adorable picture of Brenda on their account on X - formerly known as Twitter on International Dog's Day. In response to the post, he paid tribute to his former miniature dachshund Brenda. He posted: "Ah lovely picture of Brenda. Much missed." But when the episode aired viewers were left impressed by a new presenter and demanded a permanent shake-up. Former London chef Mitch McCulloch appeared on the show as she showed off the produce he is growing. He explained that he hung up the apron to go after a more "wholesome and sustainable lifestyle," as flaunted the different types of tomatoes, cucumbers and aubergines. The nature enthusiast also showed off the different types of celery, as he declared he wanted to bring it back into "fashion", much to the admiration of the audience. He emphasised cheeky phrases like "bang for your buck," as he retold old stories about pin-up girls who used to try and sell the divisive vegetable.
