Its owner reportedly shouted commands to "attack" and "kill" in Shire Country Park in Hall Green, Birmingham. Despite desperate attempts by Brie's owners and a courageous passer-by who tried to pry open the Alsatian's jaws, the attack continued for several agonising minutes. The ordeal ended when one of the men, who had allegedly given the gruesome command, violently twisted the Alsatian's ear, causing it to release its bite. The men then fled the scene, leaving behind a severely injured Brie and a traumatised crowd. Brie, who loves tummy tickles and garden explorations, has since undergone surgery and is recuperating at home. Her distraught owner has appealed to anyone with information about the incident to contact the police, Birmingham Live reports. Renata, 65, expressed her shock and concern, saying: "We've visited the park several times, it's enclosed and by woodland. We felt safe. There were children and lots of other walkers. It might happen to someone else." The attack is said to have occurred between 1.15pm and 1.30pm on August 29, near historic Sarehole Mill in Birmingham. Brie's peaceful walk along the Cole Valley steam path turned into a nightmare when her owner first noticed "a couple of individuals and a dog barking". Renata said: "When I put her back on the lead and started walking back to the car park, at that point I heard a man's voice shout 'kill' and 'attack' more than once.
