Mo Salah ‘will say yes’ to Liverpool exit as Klopp braced for enormous offer

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is reportedly ready to accept a move to Saudi Arabia and leave Anfield on deadline day, in what would be one of the biggest transfers of the summer window. Al-Ittihad have continued to pursue the Egyptian despite Reds boss  Jurgen Klopp’s firm stance that his talisman is not for sale, in a saga that could go down to the wire. Foot Mercato have claimed that Salah is willing to move to the Middle East if Liverpool accept the new offer, after rejecting Al-Ittihad’s opening proposal out of hand that was worth as much as £150million. The 31-year-old would receive a contract until 2027 as part of a salary between £400-475m in a total package, in addition to a further three years of image rights as part of an ambassadorial role. While Sky Sports have claimed that Al-Ittihad will go back in with a £175m bid for Salah and could even reach as much as £200m, making Salah the second most expensive player of all time – after Neymar’s move to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona  in 2017. The Saudi Pro League market remains open until September 7, however, meaning that there is a chance that a deal could go through after the Premier League deadline – if Liverpool agree to sell Salah after Friday.
