British actress slams expanded zone saying it ‘tackles the people who can afford it least’
Ulez is a tax on the poor which hits working class people the hardest, Bond girl Naomie Harris has said.
The British actress who portrayed Eve Moneypenny in the past three Bond films has taken aim at Sadiq Khan’s Ulez expansion, suggesting it disproportionately hit London’s poorest residents.
In an interview with The Evening Standard on Friday, she said: “I am very, very against Ulez. Hugely against Ulez.
“It’s so terrible. It’s another tax on poor people, right? Because who is driving cars that are six years old – it’s people from a working-class background, generally, who don’t have the income to buy a new car.”
