BBC One Show host Jermaine Jenas declared it’s ‘not fair’ as new permanent presenter Roman Kemp took along a personal item to the set leaving him to try to one-up the radio host
BBC One Show’s host Jermaine Jenas admitted it wasn’t “fair” that new presenter Roman Kemp had a personal item on set.
The presenters kicked off Tuesday night’s show with a clash between the two stars. Radio presenter Roman was announced as a regular host on the evening programme last week after making guest appearances. However, upon returning to screens to discuss the latest topics of the day, the conversation turned towards Roman’s mug.
The Capital FM host had an Arsenal mug proudly on display on The One Show’s coffee table. Co-host Jermaine wasn’t best pleased as he confronted Roman. He said: “Now Roman, I’ve got to say. Do not think I’ve not noticed the mug that’s on the table right there. I see when you was announced to be coming onto the show full-time, but it’s not fair you’ve only got an Arsenal mug there.”
“What do you mean?” Roman asked. Jermaine continued: “So I thought I’d get my own mug out,” and turned around to grab a huge Tottenham Hotspur mug from behind the sofa. He asked Roman: “How do you like that?” before cheekily adding “Bigger the better.” Roman has taken over Ronan Keating’s spot as one of Alex Jones’ official co-hosts.
