Arm, the Cambridge-based microchip designer, recently announced that it will be floated on the Nasdaq exchange in New York.
The decision is another blow to UK equity capital markets, especially considering the lobbying efforts made by the UK to secure the company’s listing in London.
Unfortunately, Arm’s decision is not unique, nor is it a trend restricted to the technology businesses, where Nasdaq has long blazed a trail.
