There is less than a week until the summer transfer window closes but Chelsea are eyeing up some late swoops. The Blues have been linked with Lyon's Bradley Barcola and he was one of the four players Chelsea scouts were reportedly keeping an eye on. Chelsea are keen on Barcola and held discussions with Lyon last week but the latest reports indicate that a move is not close. That's because Lyon wanted Andrey Santos on loan as part of the deal but he has since joined Nottingham Forest on loan instead, which has stalled talks for Barcola. The other three players Chelsea were scouting all play for Nice – including 22-year-old France international midfielder Khephren Thuram. Thuram joined Nice from Monaco in 2019 and has registered a total of 141 appearances to date, registering eight goals and 11 assists. Chelsea were also looking at centre-back Jean-Clair Todibo and winger Sofiane Diop, who are both 23-years-old.
