Man Utd’s fresh stance on Harry Maguire exit as Premier League rival reignite interest

Harry Maguire has been continually linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford this summer, but Manchester United are running out of time with the deadline looming

Harry Maguire’s future at Manchester United remains undecided as the summer transfer window reaches its final few days.

Maguire has been the subject of firm interest from West Ham over the past few weeks, but remains a United player. The Hammers agreed a £30million transfer fee with United for earlier in the window and appeared to be on the brink of signing him, only for the move to collapse.

West Ham were ultimately unable to finalise personal terms with the 30-year-old, who has two years left on his £190-000-a-week contract at Old Trafford. With Maguire taking a pay cut to move to east London, United would have had to agree a pay-out for the England international.

David Moyes’ side moved onto other deals, signing Edson Alvarez and Mohammed Kudus from Ajax, Southampton ‘s James Ward-Prowse and Stuttgart’s Konstantinos Mavropanos. But The Sun claimed over the weekend that they had since reignited talks and were willing to pay more to sign Maguire.
