England take on a fitter, more ambitious Fiji in their final game before the World Cup starts next month
The build-up to the Rugby World Cup is well under way, and this clash provides England with a final dress rehearsal ahead of their first game of the tournament, which is against Argentina on September 9.
Last time these two sides met, in 2016, England ran riot at Twickenham, scoring nine times – including a first international try for Elliot Daly – in an emphatic 58-15 victory.
But it has been some time since England fans have witnessed such a scoreline, with Steve Borthwick’s men arriving at Twickenham on the back of a chastening loss against Ireland in Dublin. By contrast, Fiji believe they are fitter and more ambitious than ever.
England face Fiji today at 3.15pm (BST). That’s 2.15am on Sunday morning in Fiji.
