 A man has been charged with the murder of a dad who was found dead at home after burglars stole his 'beloved' labradoodle. Donald 'Prentice' Patience, 45, was discovered at a house in Bury by police responding to reports of a theft on Tuesday morning. Ian Gary Connell, 39, of Duke Street, Bolton has now been charged with murder. He will appear at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court today. This is a breaking news story. More to follow.
