NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Oleksandr Usyk will defend his WBC, IBF and WBA heavyweight titles against Daniel Dubois on Saturday evening.
Usyk has not fought since August 2022 where he beat Anthony Joshua for a second time to retain his heavyweight belts.
Dubois, meanwhile, is the mandatory challenger for Usyk’s WBA title and heads into the fight off the back of four KO victories, which came after the first loss of his professional career to Joe Joyce in November 2020.
The 25-year-old has proven his knockout power since his pro debut in 2017 but is up against it against Usyk, who remains unbeaten and will be heavily supported by thousands of Ukrainians who are expected to attend the fight at the Tarczynski Arena in Poland.
