The TV host's sad passing comes almost 51 years to the day that Bob began hosting The Price Is Right, with him first taking on hosting duties on September 4, 1972. Although Bob died from reported "natural causes", he suffered a few health issues throughout his life. Back in 1999, he had "clumsiness in his right hand" before being admitted to hospital and being diagnosed with a partially blocked left carotid artery. He then underwent carotid endarterectomy to remove the blockage before returning to work within a month. Then, in 2002, after filming the 30th season of the hit gameshow, Bob suffered two further health issues. In May he suffered a stroke while lying in the sun, and then in July he underwent prostate surgery. Reports also say that he had "several mild bouts with skin cancer", with him speaking out in an interview about his sun tanning habits. Speaking on TV, Bob said: "I urge anyone who has spent some time in the sun, whether you're doing it now or not, go to a dermatologist once a year." 2015 then saw the famed host trip and fall while in the street, with him then having a fall in his home in 2017. And then a year later in 2018, he was rushed to hospital with severe back pain on two separate occasions.
