Man Utd beat Nottingham Forest after Casemiro recovers from horror miss

MANCHESTER UNITED 3-2 NOTTINGHAM FOREST: Goals from Christian Eriksen, Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes helped Erik ten Hag’s side get back to winning ways at Old Trafford

Manchester United recovered from two goals down to beat Nottingham Forest 3-2 at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.

Forest made a sensational start to the game, as Taiwo Awoniyi and Willy Boly both scored in the opening four minutes to give them a two-goal lead. United pulled a goal back moments later through Christian Eriksen before Casemiro equalised just after half-time.

Forest were reduced to 10 men when Joe Worrall denied Bruno Fernandes a clear goal-scoring opportunity. United made the most of their advantage when Rashford won a penalty, allowing Fernandes to score the winner and secure all three points.

The result is a huge relief for United boss Erik ten Hag after his team lost 2-0 at Tottenham last time out. Here are the main talking points from Old Trafford…
