USC Trojans quarterback Caleb Williams is the widely projected number-one pick in the 2024 NFL Draft as the top college football quarterback prospect in the class
University of Southern California quarterback Caleb Williams is widely expected to be the number one pick in the 2024 NFL Draft but claims there is a chance he will return to college for a fourth season instead.
Williams, 21, won the Heisman Trophy and several other national awards after a standout first season since transferring from the University of Oklahoma. He is already drawing comparisons to Kansas City Chiefs star Patrick Mahomes.
Some college football analysts claim Williams is already developing quicker than the NFL ‘s best did during his collegiate days. Teams tanking to improve the draft odds seems inevitable; such is his stock.
The player has even addressed the, rather unlikely, prospect of playing alongside Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle under Mike McDaniel on the Miami Dolphins, admitting they’re the team he’d love to play for. However, pencilling Williams in at the top of teams’ draft boards may all be premature.
