The Blues had also been considering a move for Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson but have now withdrawn their interest and are focusing on Barcola. Chelsea head coach Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring in at least one more attacking player before the summer transfer window closes. Barcola can operate as a forward or right winger and has spent his entire senior career at Lyon, where he registered seven goals and 10 assists last season. Chelsea are not the only side looking at Barcola with Paris-Saint Germain also linked to the France U21 international. Chelsea and PSG have now been told that Lyon are only willing to sell Barcola if they receive a fee plus a player swap, according to reports. That could work in Chelsea's favour, with Pochettino keen to offload a number of players before the summer transfer window closes. One player Chelsea are desperate to sell is Romelu Lukaku but the Belgian would likely have to take a huge cut to his wages to join Lyon if they wanted to bring in the striker.
