Harry and Meghan’s ‘new home in the palace’ shows they’re ready to move on, says expert

Back in early 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle made the move from the UK to Montecito in sunny California, but they are now said to be eyeing up a home back in Britain again

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are said to be renting out a new home in Kensington Palace to spend more time healing their fractured relationship with the rest of the royals, it has been reported.

The couple have been living in Montecito, California, after purchasing the nine-bedroom home for $14.65million (£11.8million) in 2020, just a few months after stepping back from the Royal Family. And it was recently reported that the couple are shaking things up with their residence, as they are hoping to swap out the upscale Santa Barbara neighbourhood for a place in Malibu for its close proximity to Los Angeles.

It is said that they are also eyeing up a home base in the UK by renting out a new home at Kensington Palace. The couple, who are doting parents to two young children, are reportedly hoping that the move will please Harry’s older brother Prince William.
