Alcaraz won Flushing Meadows last year in what was his maiden major triumph and he is now seeking a third Grand Slam title following his Wimbledon success. Djokovic, meanwhile, is looking to secure his 24th major trophy at the US Open which would see him equal Margaret Court for the most in history. The 36-year-old has already surpassed Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal for the most Grand Slam men's singles titles and is looking to further cement his status as the greatest tennis player of all time. There had been suggestions that Djokovic's defeat to Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final had marked a changing of the guard, but the duo look set to continue to battle for Grand Slam titles and the world No.1 spot for the foreseeable future. 'It's going to be tough for me to talk right now but I'll try to do my best,' Alcaraz said after the match. 'First of all, I want to congratulate Novak once again.
