Similar to warnings in front of old cartoons, that contain racist content, the warnings appear ahead of every game included in the collection. 'This game contains expressions and themes which may be considered outdated,' it reads, according to GamesRadar. 'However, these elements have been included without alteration to preserve the historical context in which the game was made and the creator's original vision. Player discretion is advised.' It doesn't specify exactly which elements are being referred to, but if we were to take a guess it may be due to the portrayal of certain female characters. The first game has a scene where Snake can spy on Meryl in her underwear and the third game, Snake Eater, has a section where you can zoom in on Eva's breasts. Similar elements were purposefully removed from the Resident Evil 4 remake, although that was a full remake and not a simple remaster like Metal Gear.
