THIS is the cushy prison where killer nurse Lucy Letby faces spending the rest of her life after being told she’ll die behind bars.
She is expected to be caged at maximum-security HMP Low Newton in County Durham, where prisoners have included fellow serial murderer Rose West.
Inmates there have included extremist Roshonara Choudhry, who stabbed MP Stephen Timms in 2010, and Tracey Connelly, the mum of Baby P who was abused and died in Tottenham, north London.
Also imprisoned there have been Mairead Philpott after she, along with her husband Mick, started a fire that killed six of her children in 2012 – as well as Karen Matthews, who faked the kidnapping of her daughter Shannon.
At the prison, inmates have the chance to pet sheep and goats and look after a rabbit and birds – all in a bid to keep them “calm”, a report by the Independent Monitoring Boards (IMB) has revealed.
