BBC News host forced to correct himself after awkward blunder just moments into show

Gareth Barlow was forced to correct himself when he made an error just moments into a BBC News report

A BBC News journalist was forced to correct himself when he made an awkward blunder just moments into a live broadcast.

Gareth Barlow was presenting the latest edition of the news when he made the error, meaning he had to correct himself. Fans loved the error and it wasn’t long before he had taken to Twitter to joke about what happened amid his own error.

During the opening line of his broadcast, he had said: ” Hello! I’m watching…” before realising his error and quipping to himself: “I’m watching BBC News? I’m Gareth Barlow.” Correcting himself, he then added: “You’re watching BBC News.”

He took to social media after the incident and joked about what had happened with his followers. Sharing the clip, he wrote alongside it: “Can someone please remind me who’s watching the news…”
