The actor announced the news on Twitter, as he was asked by a fan: "Are you allowed to request a man/woman or is that totally random too?" Layton responded by writing: "I'm 100% gonna be paired up with a man". Fans were quick to guess who Layton is set to dance with as one wrote: "I'm rooting for you and Carlos. I think you'd have an amazing energy together." Another added: "Praying it's Johannas. What a combo that would be." However, while we wait to find out the celebrity and professional dancer pairings, Layton has confirmed he will be partnered up with a male this series – following in the footsteps of Johannes Radebe and John Whaite, who were the first ever all-male pairing on the show.
