Coronation Street airs violent scenes next week ahead of one character’s exit from the ITV soap.
Peter Barlow is set to leave Weatherfield at some point this year it is believed, but it seems there’s plenty of drama still ahead for him. Peter is forced to dramatically intervene, when Ryan Connor loses it with his aunt, Peter’s wife, Carla Connor. After throwing a glass at the wall, Ryan rages and lashes out at her leaving her terrified.
A shaken Carla is seen sinking into the sofa in a bid to get away from Ryan in a preview for Friday’s episode, set to air next week, as he storms towards her waving his hands in her face. Blaming her for an incident as she tries to calm him down, he rushes towards her and gets in her face, shouting as she tries to get him to stop. In this moment, and just as it looks as though Ryan might harm his aunt, Peter storms through the door.
Seeing what is happening, he quickly grabs Ryan and slams him up against a wall as Carla continues to reel from her nephew’s out of character outburst. As Ryan fumes and demands he let him go, Peter refuses and tells him to calm down while holding him against the wall.
