Liverpool transfer round-up: Ryan Gravenberch scouted before £20m bid as “big” offers made

Liverpool are still looking to sign new players before the summer transfer window shuts on September 1, with the addition of Wataru Endo not expected to the last one

Liverpool are fast running out of time in which to bolster Jurgen Klopp’s squad in the summer transfer window.

The window closes on September 1, and while Wataru Endo has arrived in a £16million deal on Friday, more additions are needed. The 30-year-old Japan international will help plug the gap in midfield left by Fabinho and Jordan Henderson’s departures to the Saudi Pro League, yet they are arguably still short in that position.

Liverpool have a longstanding interest in a left-sided central defender, too, while further departures cannot be ruled out either in such a topsy-turvy period. Here Mirror Football takes a look at the latest rumours.

Ryan Gravenberch has been the subject of much speculation over the past week, with Liverpool and Manchester United both touted as destinations for the Dutch midfielder.
