Britney Spears and Sam Asghari have reportedly split after 14 months of marriage, but the Toxic hitmaker took steps to ensure her $60 million fortune was protected
Britney Spears has ensured her $60million (£47million) fortune is well protected in an “iron-clad” pre-nuptial agreement after her shock split from Sam Asghari.
The couple wed in a star-studded ceremony in June last year, surrounded by A-list stars including Paris Hilton and Drew Barrymore, but the Toxic hitmaker’s family, including her sons Jayden and Sean, were missing from the nuptials, which took place at her lavish home in Thousands Oaks, Los Angeles.
Britney and Sam were the picture of wedded bliss in the months after they exchanged vows, but the personal trainer had reportedly moved out following a “huge argument” over cheating rumours, and filed for divorce. However, her legal team made sure the pop icon’s multi-million dollar fortune was protected.
The prenup reportedly ensures Sam won’t get a penny from Britney’s earnings made up to this point, TMZ reported. The star has a reported net worth of around $60million (£47million). This means under the terms of the prenup, if the couple were to divorce, the 29-year-old budding actor will not receive any of the star’s past earnings from her tours, albums, and movie roles.
