Tyson Fury’s transformation from 18 pints a day to 10st weight loss ahead of comeback

Tyson Fury turned his life around after suffering from a drink-and-drug-fuelled depression as he struggled with his new-found fame following his world heavyweight champion success

Tyson Fury and his family take centre stage in a brand new Netflix documentary, At Home With The Furys, which gives fans a glimpse into their life away from the ring together.

But over the years, the world heavyweight champion has been very open about his personal life, including the difficult time spent battling depression after beating Wladimir Klitschko in 2015.

Fury spiralled into an alcohol and drug-fuelled dark hole that saw him neck back 18 pints of beer a day while struggling to cope with the fame and fortune that came his way after his momentous win. As he became more depressed, his weight also rocketed, going up to 400 lbs in just over two years which took the 6ft 9in boxer to 28 stone.

On his darkest day, he is said to have taken his Ferrari for a spin and almost drove it into the wall before thoughts of his fatherless family dragged him back from the abyss. His former trainer, Ben Davison, also recalled how he saw his future pupil whip out a bottle of Patron in the lift and take a swig before noon and Fury himself has admitted to drinking 18 pints of lager a night, as well as whiskey and vodka at the time.
