This is the start of a new journey and I'm really excited." Deeney last played in League Two for Walsall in the 2006-07 season. He played 134 times for the Saddlers, scoring 27 times. The bustling forward moved to Watford in 2010, going on to net 140 goals across 11 years with the Hornets. In 2021 he switched to his boyhood club Birmingham City, playing two seasons at St Andrew's before being released. In addition to his playing roles, Deeney has been obtaining his Uefa A-License coaching badge.
