While this year's line-up has been confirmed, with the likes of Les Dennis, Adam Thomas and Angela Rippon taking to the dancefloor, Roman has some bad news for people hoping he'll appear in future seasons. The presenter claimed he's had 'two knee operations' and suffered with 'a slipped disc.' He told OK!: I would almost bet that I would end up getting injured,' he said. 'I've had two knee operations, and a slipped disc. And I don't think it's really built for me.' This comes after the radio personality previously insisted if he signed up for the show he must be paired with a male partner– and that person must be Johannes Radebe. 'I don't think it's really built for me.' (Picture: Getty) 'The only way I'd do Strictly is if I was teamed up with Johannes [Radebe],' the Capital Radio DJ told OK!. 'I think sometimes the show takes away from the skill of the dancers and it becomes like a soap opera of who's dating who.' It looked like Roman was referring to the infamous 'Strictly curse' – where stars have in the past left their real life partners for their dancing ones after concocting some electric energy in rehearsals and on stage. The presenter would rather concentrate on the dancing, which is why it would be ideal for Roman – who is straight – to be coupled with a same-sex partner to avoid any salacious gossip. The Strictly 2023 line-up also includes Paralympic champion Jody Cundy and former British number one tennis player Annabel Croft as well as BBC Asian Network's Breakfast Show host Nikita Kanda and Bad Education star Layton Williams.
