Sharing his joy following England’s spectacular win over Australia in the World Cup semi-final, Piers Morgan posted a cheerful tweet before being blasted by sports fans
Piers Morgan has found himself in a savage Twitter spat just moments after the Lioness’ won the World Cup semi-final.
The GB News presenter, 58, was forced to clap back at a social media user after he shared his excitement for the England team following their sensational win against Australia today, where they bet the team 3-1.
Sharing his joy following England’s spectacular win, Piers posted: BREAKING: England’s fabulous Lioness’ crush Australia’s wilting Matildas 3-1 in their own back yard to reach the Women’s World Cup Final. Sweet revenge for the Jonny Bairstow Ashes runout debacle. Congrats ladies – you’ve made your country proud.”
However, not all social media users appeared to be as happy as Piers, as one user in particular viciously clapped back: “You’re such a miserable old c**k.” To which Piers later replied: “Sounds like you are, Dan. But getting thrashed by the Poms in a World Cup semi-final can do that to an Aussie. Here if you need a hug, mate.”
