Home renovations can be exciting but they can also become extremely expensive. With costs constantly racking up from materials to getting things fitted, it’s no wonder people are starting to teach themselves new DIY skills. When you complete a room knowing you’ve managed to save money it can feel blissful.
One savvy DIY expert has managed to save her pennies and transform her kitchen for under £7, making it look completely brand new, with just one simple product. Taking to TikTok to share her hack, fans are amazed at her ultimate makeover and looking like she’s had a brand new kitchen.
The account name @homeat41 captioned the video ‘DC-Fix my kitchen counters with me’ as she upgraded her council house kitchen counters with a product from The Range. First showing the original kitchen with dark plain surfaces on her counters. She then goes ahead and places a material called DC-Fix over the surfaces in a wood-like pattern.
DC-Fix is a sticky back plastic that can be used to cover surfaces and can completely transform a room and is kind on the purse too as it’s just £6.70 from The Range, and getting crafty, the TikTok user covers all of her surfaces with the material in shade Ribbeck Oak, and cuts it to size with a craft knife.
