 The iconic Apple Watch is turning 10 and Apple is planning a major redesign to celebrate, according to experts. Tech analyst Mark Gurman has predicted that the new watch, dubbed the 'Apple Watch X', will feature a new design, a faster processor, and new health sensors. The name sounds similar to the iPhone X launched in 2017 to celebrate ten years of the iPhone. Apple Watch X is expected to have a thinner casing as well as different ways for bands to attach to the device. Connecting bands on the Apple Watch have remained the same since the device was launched in 2015. The existing band system takes up quite a bit of space that could be put to better use to house bigger batteries or other components. Apple could replace this with a magnetic band attachment system that the tech giant is reportedly working on. Another rumoured addition to the new Apple Watch is a blood pressure monitor, the first Apple smartwatch to have one. However, Apple enthusiasts will need to wait until 2024 or 2025 to get their hands on the updated smartwatch. For now, we're weeks away from Apple's usual September launch event, where we'll get to see the Apple Watch Series 9.
