Prince Harry’s appearance in Singapore shows he is no longer guaranteed to be centre of attention following his decision to leave his Royal Family duties, according to an expert
Prince Harry has been seemingly dealt a blow as he appeared to be ignored at his latest solo outing.
Without his wife Meghan Markle by his side, the Duke of Sussex, 38, took part in a polo tournament. But he didn’t get the warm welcome that so often follows him around. Instead, he appeared to be “virtually ignored”.
The Singapore based Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup took place last week in a bid to raise money for charity. Harry played for the Royal Salute Sentebale Team against the Singapore Polo Club Team, with the match finishing in a 7-7 draw. After the game ended the Duke was spotted walking alone and appeared “awkward” and unsure of what to do.
It’s said that when their team was handed a trophy, Prince Harry clutched onto the award and was “reluctant to share” despite it being a communal effort. An expert has described the moment as a possessive behaviour that the royal has had “since childhood”.
