Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are giving this whole Hollywood thing one last go, but this time they’re trying something new as the couple will roll out a movie adaptation of a fiction book
Taking a hard detour from using their personal story to pull at heart strings, Meghan and Harry are now adapting a fiction book, Meet Me at the Lake, for Netflix – and it’s been labelled a potential last ditch attempt to make it big in Hollywood amidst their rapidly declining approval.
Speaking on their content’s direction, Meghan revealed that she is a big believer that “people love love” to Variety. She told the publication: “For scripted [content], we want to think about how we can evolve from that same space and do something fun. It doesn’t always have to be so serious. Like a good romcom. Don’t we miss them? I miss them so much.”
It’s an option that is hoped will work out for the couple following their loss after loss in the entertainment space, starting with a shattered Spotify deal and, most recently, speculation that they will need to reinvent themselves entirely.
