Richarlison has obviously got very big boots to fill and he must fill them having been poor last season. The question is: can he produce the form he has shown for Brazil and Everton now that Harry Kane has left Spurs and there is a place for him?
The answer, based on yesterday’s visit to Brentford, has to be no. To be fair, it was just one game in a new set-up with some new team-mates and a new manager. It is too early to be certain about things. But it certainly was not a very promising start.
The key for Richarlison is going to be his relationship with James Maddison, who is a good player and sees chances. But Richarlison never gelled with him
