It is said that the journey is part of the experience. When it comes to foreign holidays, though, more often than not that includes queues, delays and cancellations.
But not for everyone. A new breed of ultra-luxury holidays has emerged: so-called air cruises that transport the moneyed around the world, not on the high seas but by private jet.
This corner of the travel industry emerged several years ago but its popularity has boomed since the pandemic, Paul Croughton, the editor-in-chief of the luxury lifestyle magazine Robb Report, said.
