Girl, 5, suffers ‘significant’ facial injuries after dog attack

A five-year-old-girl has been hospitalised after she was attacked by a dog outside a shop.

The attack happened near the Nisa Local in Norton Road, Stockton-on-Tees at around 6.30pm on Saturday.

The dog has been seized by police and the girl was rushed to hospital.

A spokesman for Cleveland Police said: ‘Police were called to a report of a five-year-old girl who had been attacked by a dog outside Nisa on Norton Road yesterday at around 6:30pm.
