I was intrigued to learn that the elusive Nadine Dorries MP employs her daughter as her senior parliamentary assistant (“Forget the hunt for Wally – where’s Seldom Seen Nadine?”, News Review, last week). Bearing in mind that Nadine has completely neglected her parliamentary and constituency duties, while neglecting to resign, we taxpayers are surely entitled to ask her a question: what exactly we are paying your daughter £42,000 a year to assist with?John Lee, St Ives, Cambridgeshire
Failing againIf any one person could exemplify what is wrong with the governance of the UK it is Dorries. Wildly over-promoted for blind obedience; a disaster in all her jobs; outraged when refused an ennoblement; and now unable to even resign with dignity.Carl
