The push for net zero is costing us dear

As the Welsh government powers ahead with its net-zero policies, it has failed to raise educational standards, failed to improve the NHS and overseen economic decline (“Welcome to Wales, the net-zero haven where you can’t build a road”, News, last week). As a Labour-led administration they would do well to think about their priorities. Fresh air won’t pay their electorate’s bills.James Saxon, Llangefni, Anglesey

Cold comfortThe Welsh government’s obsession with wind energy will not turn out well in calm, cold winter weather. The next time pressure systems drag in air from Siberia, we may see icicles hanging from all those static wind turbines, and thick snow over those fields of solar panels. It will make a very pretty picture to enjoy
