A new weather warning will be in for a large swathe of the UK as yet more heavy rain is expected to hit the country in just a matter of hours, with many towns and cities at risk of disruption
A Met Office yellow weather warning has been issued as the UK prepares for another round of heavy rain.
Around 20-40mm of rain is expected to fall in some areas on Monday, leaving a number of towns and cities at risk of some localised flooding.
The warning is in force for a large area covering Wales and the north of England, and applies from midnight until 9pm.
It reads: “Rain is expected to develop across southwest England and south Wales on Sunday evening and spread northeast to affect many parts of England and Wales through Monday before easing and clearing into the North Sea on Monday night.
