In response, Jones has not returned to practice with the team, with the season beginning in just one month's time. The Chiefs have the right to fine Jones each day for him not showing up to sessions, and it has since been reported by multiple outlets that the star lineman has lost huge amounts - something he's not likely to be too pleased about. Kansas City may be worried about paying Jones, who is approaching the age of 30, while the defensive tackle market has exploded in the last year. New York Jets ' Quinnen Williams recently signed a mega four-year, $96m deal, and Jones could be holding out for a similar amount, or more. PFT are reporting that Jones is aiming to collect close to Los Angeles Rams star Aaron Donald's annual average salary of $31.6m.
