Former Tottenham striker Harry Kane leaves the Premier League second on the all-time Premier League goal charts after completing a club-record move to Bayern Munich
Harry Kane insisted he has “plenty of football left” in his career after leaving the Premier League with a 47-goal gap to Alan Shearer’s all-time record in the competition.
England captain Kane completed a move to Bayern Munich on Saturday. The £100m fee for the former Tottenham star is a record for the Bundesliga champions, and their new arrival was handed a debut in the DFB Supercup just hours after being announced.
Kane received a formal unveiling at a press conference on Sunday, where he addressed a number of topics including Shearer’s record, Shearer retired with 260 Premier League goals to his name, and Kane’s current tally sits at 213.
“Of course it’s always going to be a tough decision [to leave Spurs],” Kane said. “I was at Tottenham for 19 years of my life, so everyone knows that the club is connected with me and with my heart.
