 Jude Bellingham has hailed his 'special' debut for Real Madrid but admits his goal was 'lucky' after he found the net in a 2-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao. His exit from Borussia Dortmund was one of the biggest transfers of the window and there has been plenty of hype surrounding the 20-year-old midfielder. Bellingham put in a number of impressive pre-season performances for Real Madrid and starred on his La Liga debut in the Basque Country with a man-of-the-match showing, registering the second goal in a 2-0 win for his new club. He doubled the lead on 36 minutes after latching on to a corner delivery from David Alaba, with his bouncing shot looping over Unai Simon. But Bellingham felt there was an element of luck in the goal and he reflected on making his professional debut for Los Blancos. 'It's a very special night,' Bellingham said. 'The most important thing is to win and I'm getting along great with my new teammates. 'We dominated, created chances, but in the second half we had to fight more, but we played on the counterattack and were able to score more goals. 'I had the chance to score. I didn't hook it quite right, but it went in. I was a bit lucky… But it worked!'
