Vicente Guaita blasts Crystal Palace on Twitter as he’s left out of squad

CRYSTAL PALACE goalkeeper Vicente Guaita has hit back at manager Roy Hodgson on Twitter after being left out of the squad to face Sheffield United.

The goalkeeper hit back at reports that he had refused to be a part of the squad on Twitter by replying to the club’s starting XI and writing: “Where is my name? So how can I play for Palace? @CPFC.”

The war of words comes after Roy Hodgson said Guaita was “disenchanted” with life at Palace after losing his no.1 spot to Sam Johnstone.

Hodgson said: “He’s been refusing to play in our games so far but the complication is that he has a year’s contract so it’s up to the club to decide really. Not him.”
