Madonna will have to endure a ‘rigorous physical’ if she wants to return to postponed tour

Queen of Pop Madonna was recently hospitalised after a terrifying health scare, which forced her to postpone her world tour

Madonna will undertake “rigorous” physical tests if she hopes to return to her world tour – we can reveal. Insurance chiefs will demand that the Queen Of Pop, who survived a near fatal bacterial infection, be tested physically before she steps back on stage.

Currently the 64-year-old superstar is recovering from her shock illness, but has vowed to perform in her world tour. However a source connected to concert promoter Live Nation has revealed that a return to live work can only go ahead once insurance assurances have been met. One of the key criteria is a full physical, carried out by an independent doctor.

Tests for artists often include a range of detailed and even sometimes invasive procedures, the insider revealed. The central probes will focus on standard matters like heart rates, blood pressure, BMI, ECG and lung function.

More detailed examinations will include a blood tests for a range of potential issues from disease and X-rays to check bone and disc health.
