I’ve tried more than my fair share of rums and while I definitely appreciate spiced rums, the flavoured versions hold a special place for me, especially when they’re spiced and flavoured. I love how they mingle classic rum flavours with something completely new.
One flavour that I’m seeing everywhere at the minute is cherry. It comes in many forms but there are so many on the market that it feels like a must to have at least one cherry rum in a collection.

I always like to have my rums neat when I’m trying them for the first time. Although they work well in cocktails and mixed with cola I don’t think you can really speak to the product without trying it without the bells and whistles.
