The new Great British Bake Off presenter opened the show by revealing she had originally planned to jet off on holiday on Friday but changed her plans due to This Morning presenting commitments. Josie remarked: "Can I say thank you to you Alison because you are not supposed to be here today," and Alison clarified: "I am supposed to be on holidays, I cancelled it for you and for the viewers, but for you really." "You cancelled just for me?" Josie asked and Alison replied: "I'm going tomorrow I changed my flights just for you." Later on Friday's show, Josie almost fell over in the studio as she lost her footing while sporting towering hills and a figure hugging canary yellow midi-dress. As Alison and Josie made their way across the studio, Josie lost her balance but, was luckily caught by her co-host Alison. "I nearly ate the floor then," Josie remarked as the pair bust into giggles. Alison and Josie have been presenting the ITV programme over the summer with different members of the This Morning family. While Holly Willoughby enjoys her two-month break, Craig Doyle and Dermot O'Leary have been helping Alison and Josie hold down the fort. When she returns in September, This Morning will centre the show around Holly following the departure of Phillip Schofield. ITV have decided against replacing the disgraced further ITV stalwart and instead rotate a series of presenters alongside Holly. Alison and Dermot will remain Friday hosts while Josie and Craig will continue to step in alongside Holly throughout the week. Alison Hammond revealed she had changed her holiday plans last minute as she stepped in to host Friday’s This Morning with Josie Gibson.
The new Great British Bake Off presenter opened the show by revealing she had originally planned to jet off on holiday on Friday but changed her plans due to This Morning presenting commitments.
