When England play Colombia in the World Cup quarter-final on Saturday, they will be cheered on by a rapidly growing force gathering around the team in Australia.
The Lionesses’ fan club has been accumulating followers and it is estimated that 1,500 supporters have travelled from England to the tournament.
The mobile army is a new feature of the women’s team; many started following them in the Euros last summer. Their experiences on the road a year later have made them all the more committed.
