Man Utd fans beg to bring cult hero out of retirement as injury crisis mounts

ERIK TEN HAG’s deepening injury crisis has led United fans to call on the club to bring an unlikely hero out of retirement.

The Dutchman is facing a litany of injuries to deal with just days to go until United’s season opener.

The Red Devils are currently without Rasmus Hojlund, Tyrell Malacia, Amad Diallo, Kobbie Mainoo, Tom Heaton and Dean Henderson.

United are now incredibly light in the goalkeeping department, particularly with club legend David De Gea having left the club on a free transfer last month.

And injuries to Heaton and Henderson have led United fans on Twitter to call for the club to sign an unlikely cult hero – Lee Grant.
