Dog owner pays for three airplane seats so Great Dane can travel on flight

Great Dane Darwin was a model passenger as she flew alongside owner Gabriel Bogner from Los Angeles to New York but did need three seats to accommodate her enormous size

Dogs are great, man’s best friend, and one of life’s purest forms of joy. The lengths people go to care for their beloved pooches often know no end. And for one devoted owner whose pup didn’t meet the standard requirements for boarding a plane, ended up going to expensive lengths to ensure they had room.

Gabriel Bogner, 27, from the US caused quite a stir when he brought his Great Dane Darwin to the airport, having booked three seats for his colossal canine so they could travel from Los Angeles, California, to New York City.

Taking up two spots for herself and one for her owner, Darwin showed what a very good girl she could be – even though it was her first time flying. The five-year-old pooch acts as Gabriel’s support dog and needs to be with him at all times.
