World’s 7th oldest woman turns 114 with daughter, 94, and granddaughter, 68, by her side

The 7th oldest person in the world, who now holds the title of oldest Texan, celebrated her 114th birthday in Houston with friends and five generations of family.

By Elizabeth Francis’ side was her daughter, 94, and granddaughter, 68. Her sister, now deceased, lived to be 106, which made them some of the oldest siblings on record for some time.

Ms Francis, who is part of a handful of people older than 110 called supercentenarians, made history in Texas when she became the state’s oldest woman. Elizabeth is the second oldest person in the United States, seventh in the world and second in the world who lives at home according to ABC13.
